DeAnna Autumn Leaf Suazo
DeAnna Autumn Leaf Suazo is a Taos Pueblo and Diné contemporary 2D artist.
She grew up on the tribal lands of Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. Today, DeAnna is attending the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she is studying studio arts with an emphasis in painting.
DeAnna predominantly works with Prism Colored markers, Indian Black Ink, and acrylic paint on vintage music sheet, and/or antique ledger documents collected from multiple sources. She is also strongly comfortable painting with acrylic paint on an array of different sized canvases. All her work is consistent with detail and vibrant colors, each painting and illustration have a distinctive style incorporating influences from her cultural heritage combined with pop culture themes and Japanese anime.
